A STORY OF LONG-TERM GROWTH

Capital Motors, Inc. (CMI) was established in May 1969 as Taiwan's exclusive official importer and retailer of Mercedes-Benz products. With over half a century of experience, CMI continues to represent Mercedes-Benz, providing an unmatched reputation for the highest sales standards and after sales services throughout Taiwan. The company, named one of the top 100 desirable companies in Taiwan, also ranks among the top 100 of the best 500 enterprises in the service industry.

Today, Capital Motors, Inc. comprises a total of 20 outlets in Taiwan, including the largest Mercedes-Benz and dealership in each city. In 2019, the business sold over 10,141 new vehicles.

1969

Capital Motors, Inc. (CMI) established.
1975

Taichung Branch and Workshop established.
1976

Kaohsiung Branch and Workshop officially inaugurated.
1983

Taipei Branch established. (Now, known as Taipei Branch 1 Minsheng Showroom.)
1985

Nankang Headquarters and Nankang Workshop established. 

Original Shihlin Showroom changed to Shihlin Branch. (Now, known as Taipei Branch 2 Shihlin Showroom.)

Kaohsiung Branch and Kaohsiung Showroom opened.
1987

Tainan Branch established. (Now, known as CN Branch and Tainan Showroom.)

Taoyuan Branch opened. (Now, known as Taoyuan Branch and Taoyuan Showroom.) 

Taichung Branch, Taichung Showroom started operation and they were located on Taichung’s Minquan Road.
1989

Chiayi Branch established. (Now, known as Chianan Branch, Chiayi Showroom, and Chiayi Workshop.)
1996

Kuandu Body Repair & Paint Center established.

Taichung Branch, Fengyuan Express Service Workshop started operations.

Quanxing Branch, with an area of 10,000 pings (more than 33,057 sq. meters) began operations in Changhua.

Taoyuan Branch, Northern Taoyuan Showroom, and Express Service Workshop began operations.
1998

Kaohsiung Branch moved from Minsheng Road to Chongshan Road. (Now, known as Chongshan Showroom.)
2002

Showrooms in Shihlin, Taichung, and Kaohsiung established.

Shihlin, Taichung, and Kaohsiung Workshops provide car services.
2004

CMI Magazine launched, published quarterly.
2006

Taichung’s flagship Showroom commenced with first 360-degree rotating tower in Asia.
2007

Neihu Showroom established.
2008

Capital Motors, Inc., Nankang Used Car Showroom, the most exclusive used car showroom, established.
2009

KP Branch, Kaoping Showroom officially began operations.
2014

Yongkang AH500 layout was built according to the highest Mercedes-Benz Autohaus standards; the first layout to implement the newest Mercedes-Benz Corporate Identification System (CIS).
2015

Kaohsiung Chongshan Showroom and Kuandu AMG performance center officially commenced.
2016

CMI Kuandu Auto Center, with Mercedes-Benz and Showrooms, AMG Performance Center, Mercedes-Benz Select Showroom, Workshop, and CMI Headquarters officially opened.

Flagship showroom in Taichung and Taoyuan established in 2nd half of 2016.
2017

North Taichung Showroom, Yuanlin Showroom, and Henan Mercedes-Benz Select showroom established.
2020

The brand new Dunnan Showroom opened.
2021

CMI Neihu oulet officially began operation, including Mercedes-Benz showroom and workshop.
